Review by hotel critic
Upon arriving at L'Estelle en Camargue, I was captivated by its picturesque setting amidst the serene Camargue marshes. The hotel boasts a nice infinity pool, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The staff, with their various specializations, were exceedingly helpful and kind throughout my stay. However, the typical French service veered towards being poor and fussy. Despite the hotel being half full, they incessantly knocked on my door for check-out after 12:30, disregarding the "do not disturb" sign. The food quality was decent, but the wine list was lacking and overpriced. While the location and breakfast were commendable, I found L'Estelle en Camargue to be overrated and overpriced. The lack of sincerity in the staff's service and the pressure to overspend left me wanting more. In comparison to my experience at Mas de Calabran, I would recommend exploring other options in the area.In conclusion, L'Estelle en Camargue offers some luxury amenities, but the value proposition may not align with the steep pricing, making it a choice that requires consideration based on personal preferences and budget.
